HAALAND TIPPED FOR CITY SUCCESS

New Manchester City striker ErlingHaaland has been tipped for success at the Premier League club by club legend Sergio Aguero. Recently retired Argentine striker Sergio Aguerospoke to stake.com about new signing Haaland. According to him, Norwegian international Haaland is a great signing for City and that the former Red Bull Salzburg player can contribute towards scoring the goals needed to win football games at the Etihad Stadium.


Sergio Aguero is a global ambassador for stake and he expects Haaland to score a lot of goals for City. Aguero knows all about putting the ball in the back of the net as he’s the all-time leading goalscorer at the Etihad Stadium. On adapting to the Premier League, Sergio Aguero said it will take some time for Haaland to adapt to the English top flight and that he’s certain that the Norwegian international will live up to the huge expectations from the City fans.

On winning the elusive Champions League, Aguero said it’s a huge task for City and football is all about the team rather than the players such as Haaland. The Argentine said the Champions League trophy will be more reachable if the Manchester City players work like a team just as they have been doing in the past few years. The City players have grown in experience and Sergio Aguero believes winning the Champions League trophy is not something unachievable.

New City striker Haaland has proved himself to be one of the best strikers in the world. He’s regarded as one of the top three strikers in the world alongside Frenchman Karim Benzema and Polish star Robert Lewandowski.

Haaland scored 86 goals in 89 games for German team Borussia Dortmund including 29 goals last season. The 21-year-old snubbed Real Madrid to sign for City in a €60m deal.
