Attended Punahou High where he played for coach Bob Clague…two-time All-State first-team, and was named the Honolulu Advertiser and Honolulu Star-Bulletin State Player of the Year as a junior…two-time Interscholastic League of Honolulu (ILH) Co-Offensive Player of the Year…scored 16 goals and had 9 assists in 2006, and 12 goals and 5 assists in 2007 as Punahou successfully defended its Hawai’i High School Activities Association State Soccer Championship…Punahou lost a tiebreaker for the ILH title in ’07, then won a State Tournament play-in match to begin defense of its title…in 10-1 rout of Roosevelt in the semifinals, had a goal and an assist, then team capped 15-1-1 season with 2-1 win over Kalani to give Punahou its 16th state crown in 32 years since the inception of the championship…named to the All-Tournament team…in 2006, assisted on both second-half goals as Punahou defeated Iolani 2-0 in the State title game to finish 15-2 after earning second seed into the tournament as ILH champions…scored a pair of goals in a 3-0 quarterfinal victory over Hawaii Prep…also started as freshman and sophomore…summer of 2006 was named to the Region IV ODP Player Pool…helped lead Kailua Football Club-90 into the quarterfinals of the 2006 U.S. Youth Soccer Far West Regional in Boise, Idaho…Kailua won the 2006 Hawaii Youth Sports Association Hawaii State Cup…also played on three HYSA Hawaii State Championship teams (2002-04) and was a member of the 2005 runner-up team as a member of the Windward Soccer Club Volcanoes-90 from 1999-05.
